Each year, we celebrate the very best in the fish and chip industry, with a showcase of the top businesses from up and down the country. The National Fish and Chip Awards have been running for over thirty years, and continue to raise standards in the industry. At this year’s ceremony, held on the 24th January 2020 in London – the national champions were crowned – with The Cod’s Scallops, Nottingham coming out on top in the search for the UK’s Best Fish and Chip Shop. Organised by Seafish, the non-departmental public body that supports the £10bn UK Seafood industry, the annual awards culminate in the gala ceremony each year – overseen and judged by a select group of industry professionals and cover a total of 15 award categories.
