Thawing frozen fish
You can cook fish directly from frozen in the oven or microwave but if you want to thaw first here’s how you do it.
Put the fish on a plate or tray, cover with plastic cling film or another plate and place them in the bottom section of the refrigerator to thaw slowly. Before using the fish, drain the water away and cook in the way you would for chilled fish. Don’t try to speed up the thawing process in a warm room – if you need to thaw out quicker please use the defrost function on your microwave for best results.
