It’s the beginning of the month and with that comes a new seafood of the month and this April it’s hake!
It hard to believe but hake isn’t as popular in the UK as it is in Europe and we would love more people to try this delicious fish! It’s generally exported to Spain, Portugal and Italy where it’s very much in demand.

It’s spring and with that, it’s getting brighter and warmer outside which is a great excuse for exercising outdoors. Whether that be a long walk, a run or even taking a class outside, having a bit of fresh air is great for your body and mind. We know that when you exercise that you should also make sure that you have eaten enough to keep you going through a session.

The first of spring starts today and it’s also the International Day of Happiness! What a glorious combination. Spring brings in crocuses, lambs, the knowledge that summer is just around the corner, and we can start shedding layers in preparation (hopefully!).

British Pie Week is just around the corner (5th-11th March) and we can’t wait to break out all our full-of-flavour seafood pies. Having seafood in your pie is a great way to get one or more of your two-a-week! There are so many reasons to include seafood into your diet, it boosts your mood and brain function. It also increases levels of omega-3 in your body, which leads to healthy skin, hair, nails and improves sleep!

Think of how much your mum would appreciate you going to the effort to spoil her. Cooking seafood can be so simple and fast!
