Oysters au gratin

Full of flavour, adding bacon, celery, asparagus & cheese to oysters before grilling makes for a taste sensation!

The method

  1. Place the oysters in an ovenproof dish.
  2. In a small non-stick frying pan, cook the bacon without any oil for 1-2 minutes until crispy. 
  3. Add the celery and asparagus and season.
  4. Spoon the bacon and asparagus mixture over the oysters. 
  5. Sprinkle over the cheese.
  6. Cook the oysters under a medium grill for 3-4 minutes until the cheese is golden brown and melts.
  7. Transfer the oysters to cleaned shells or small bowls or plates to serve.
