There is something in this seafood platter to please all the family!
Take half a pack of smoked mackerel and blitz in a food processor with a tbsp of crème fraiche, a few spring onion, black pepper and squeeze of lemon juice.
Combine cooked crab meat with a tbsp of mayonnaise and squeeze of lemon juice. In a large saucepan add mussels and clams, season and cover.
Cook for 5 minutes on until they open.
Lay out the shellfish on a platter with some cooked prawns or crayfish tails, the mackerel pate and crab mix in small dishes, some pieces of smoked cooked fish (eg smoked haddock), some cooked squid rings, butter, mayonnaise, lemon wedges and crusty brown bread.
