Anchor Smokehouse

The Anchor Smokehouse in Lowestoft has been oak-smoking fish and curing fish in the traditional way since 1878. Last year, the smokehouse picked up the prestigious title for best Smoked Fish for their Oak Kippers in the Great British Food magazine's Farm Produce Awards. With a real love and respect for fish, the current owner bought Anchor 28 years ago, in order to preserve the traditional methods of smoking and curing fish, and with his deep knowledge and understanding of fish, ensures that he only selects the finest quality to smoke and cure.
