It’s finally that time again, when the nation stops and everyone tunes in to watch the tennis, hoping that Andy Murray will make it a hat trick to be a Wimbledon winner!
As we love to tell you, seafood is brilliant for recovery for sport. It’s easy to fit around your workouts, it’s great for upping your iron, it’s a fabulous source of protein, and it is the ultimate fast food.
A lot of us find it difficult after a tough workout to prepare something tasty and healthy to eat and some of us may succumb to a take away or even just a bit of toast. Athletes tell us that they always eat protein as it helps boost recovery of their workout, so that they are ready for the next one. I think that this is something that we can all learn from.
As it is Wimbledon and we know that some of you may be attending and watching it from Murray’s Mount, we thought we could give you some suggestions for picnics, starting off with these scampi tacos. They are perfectly snack sized and you prepare them easily the night before.
Now, you can’t have a picnic without a salad and this Mediterranean crab salad is glorious!
These lemon sole filo parcels can be ready in less than 20 minutes, and can be served with olives, sun blushed tomatoes and pesto. A mini picnic all on its own!
