A new month means a new seafood of the month! This month it’s prawns!
Whether they are small, succulent, cooked and peeled North Atlantic coldwater prawn, giant meaty whole black tiger prawns which are farmed in the Far East and Latin America, we find we just can’t get enough of them. From our classic 80s favourite prawn cocktail to throwing some on the barbie, they are such a versatile seafood to eat.
Usually sold cooked and peeled, prawns are one of the world’s most convenient types of seafood. Freezing at source locks in the freshness, and ensures better choice, availability, convenience, quality and value.
Our favourite prawn recipe of the moment is prawn fajitas! It’s such a mouth-watering change from the usual chicken or beef fajitas. It’s also perfect to serve if you have friends coming over and also great as leftovers. Two meals in one! What could be better?!
How about this prawn cocktail with a sunshine spice twist? Perfect for those summer holiday evenings when you’ve been out in the garden all day enjoying the good weather. It’s so light and tasty with the glorious addition of pineapple. Who could possibly resist?
This prawn stir fry is so simple and with a homemade curry paste, all your family will love it! You could even make it the night before and pack it for lunch the next day. Your colleagues will be jealous of such a delicious-looking lunch.
