Our research tells us that the best way to introduce young people to fish is to get them up close and personal with seafood and hear directly from people who are actually working in the industry and getting seafood to their plate. Teachers, parents, educators and the pupils themselves tell us that school trips or a visitor coming into class really does make a lasting impression in learning.
Schools are already over-stretched, and many of them simply don’t have the resource or the confidence to devote to healthy eating and cooking. We want young people to know a lot more about seafood, everything from where it comes from to how it’s packed full of health benefits.
We regularly get calls from industry who want to go into schools and colleges but don’t know where to start. We’re here to help! Just give Briana a call on 0131 524 8676 to find out more about visiting a school.
Only by equipping the consumers of tomorrow with the right inspiration and information today can we hope together to get more people, to eat more fish, more often.
